    4. Product Characteristics:

      1. Milky white or light yellow color facilitates handling operations; easy to observe when separating and purifying colored organic compounds.

      2. Physicochemical properties are stable; insoluble in any acid, alkali, or organic solvents, facilitating the selection of adsorbents and desorbents.

      3. Good selectivity for organic substances; unaffected by the presence of inorganic salts.

      4. Easy regeneration; regenerants can be water, dilute alkali, dilute acid, or low-boiling organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, acetone, etc.

      5. Good mechanical strength and long normal service life.

    5. Resin Pretreatment:

The purified resin has been deeply treated and can be used directly without pretreatment. For safety, it can be soaked and rinsed once with ethanol or double-distilled water before use. After packing the resin column, backwash with water to remove gases from the resin to prevent gas blockage affecting adsorption.

    6. Enhanced Regeneration:

When the resin's adsorption capacity decreases after normal use for a certain period or suffers acute severe contamination, enhanced regeneration is required. The method is to soak with 3-5% hydrochloric acid solution 10-20 cm above the resin layer for 2-4 hours, then rinse with 5-7 times the volume of the same concentration hydrochloric acid solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water until the outlet wash solution pH is neutral. Then soak with 5% sodium hydroxide solution for 2-4 hours using the same method, rinse with 5-7 times the volume of sodium hydroxide solution, and finally rinse thoroughly with water until the effluent pH is neutral. The resin can then be reused.

    7. Precautions:

      1. The resin contains moisture; storage and transportation should be kept at 5-40ºC to prevent freezing at low temperatures and mildew at high temperatures, which affect use.

      2. If the resin loses water due to exposure to air or other reasons, do not add water directly to avoid floating. It can be treated by soaking in ethanol to restore moisture, then rinsed clean with water.

      3. The adsorbate (solution) should be pretreated by impurity removal, filtration, and clarification before loading onto the column to avoid impurities entering the resin column, which may cause acute resin poisoning and affect use.

      4. If resin use is interrupted, wash clean with water, soak in clean water for storage, and change water regularly to prevent contamination. It can also be stored long-term in saturated saline or ethanol.
