4. Product Applications:
Mainly used for food grade water treatment, it is the main consumable in water filter pitchers.
5. Precautions:
1. Transportation and storage of the product:
The product should be stored wet, preferably at temperatures above 0 degrees Celsius; for long-term storage, it can be sealed or immersed in 5% the above saline solution; during transportation, the main concern is frost protection, and heavy objects should not be placed on the resin to prevent crushing.
2. Resin pretreatment:
Generally requires treatment with alkali -water - acid - water in one process; for strict requirements, three cycles are needed, finally treating to the required ion form.
3. Resin loading:
Consider the swelling rate during resin conversion, reserve enough space to prevent resin overflow and ensure appropriate liquid level; the column diameter ratio should be within a reasonable range to avoid channeling; use wet loading or backwash to remove air bubbles inside the resin bed.
4. Before liquid enters the resin column, it should undergo flocculation, filtration, or sand filtration to ensure no suspended solids, preventing blockage of resin pores.
5. Resin unused in the column for a long time must be cleaned and removed for storage, or kept in a salt-resistant medium with brine, maintaining the surface moisture and periodically backwashing the resin to loosen it and prevent caking and spoilage.
