1. Product Introduction:
00 1× 16 It is a gel-type strong acid cation exchange resin with a polystyrene skeleton, containing sulfonic acid groups, equivalent to solid sulfuric acid. Suitable for use in aqueous or non-aqueous media, applicable for removing cationic impurities in the production of various antibiotics such as gentamicin, streptomycin, and oxytetracycline. It features uniform particle size distribution, high volumetric exchange capacity, and resistance to wear, osmotic pressure, and oxidation.

5: Precautions:
1. Transportation and Storage of the Product:
The product should be stored wet, preferably at temperatures above 0°C; if unused for a long time, it can be sealed or stored in 5% the above saline solution; during transportation, anti-freezing is essential, and no heavy objects should be placed on the resin to prevent crushing.
2. Resin Pretreatment:
Generally, alkali -water - acid - water treatment in one cycle is required; for strict requirements, three cycles should be performed, finally treating the resin into the required ionic form.
3. Resin Loading:
Consider the resin's swelling rate during phase transition, reserve enough space to prevent overflow and ensure appropriate liquid level; the column diameter ratio should be within a reasonable range to avoid channeling; use wet loading or backwash to remove air bubbles inside the resin bed.
4. Before the liquid enters the resin column, it should undergo flocculation, filtration, or sand filtration to ensure no suspended solids, preventing blockage of resin pores.
5. Resin unused in the column for a long time must be cleaned and removed for storage, or stored in saltwater in a salt-resistant medium, keeping the surface from dehydration; periodic backwashing of the resin is also necessary to loosen it and prevent caking and spoilage.
