Resin Storage Precautions

Ion exchange resins contain a certain amount of moisture, which should be maintained during storage and transportation. If the ion exchange resin becomes dehydrated during storage, it should be soaked in a salt solution with a concentration of about 10% before use, allowing it to swell slowly and fully, then gradually diluted with clean water. Avoid immersing dehydrated resin directly in water to prevent rapid swelling and breakage. During storage, ion exchange resins should be protected from contamination by rust, oil, strong oxidizers, and organic substances to prevent oxidation degradation, poisoning, and other accidents. Ion exchange resins should not be stored outdoors; the storage temperature should be kept between 5 and 40°C to avoid freezing or overheating, which can cause resin cracking or accelerate microbial growth, affecting product quality and performance. In winter, without insulation, resins can also be stored in brine, with the concentration adjusted according to the temperature to prevent freezing.
